cook island language week

this week has been a full cook island traditional week of all kids wearing cook island attire and learning about the culture and the national anthem and how to dance including the boys and girls together and teachers too. The national anthem, about the national anthem took me a quick time to learn and to dance i really didn’t really know how to do the move by shaking your knees in and out but side ways and it was fun but hard. The cook island assembly was very good because how prepared the people were for the parents and guests to feel welcomed and it was so hyped up with all the

and lots of cheering from the audience. The dancers were so good and looked like they did so well, at the end of the assembly i really enjoyed watching the around the world performed by the year 8&7 and its when the dancers pick a lucky person to come up to dance with them.

The day I got trapped

Aue! I am so tired from traveling swiftly around the world. I am going to rest now. Then I’ll rise up in the east. I know Maui and his brothers are up to no good they are hiding in their own little caves camping in their spots waiting for me. I heard them taking about their plan of how they are gonna catch me with their ropes they made with harakeke and a hook to trap me because they said that I move too swiftly and am getting ready for the right time for me to get close enough. Aue! ” GET OFF ME” I am stuck in their rope trap. Maui walks up to me and promises me to make the day more longer by staying up for longer and shining the light. The End

Transum

Throughout the week we’ve been learning about transum. The maths i did today was just finishing off the fast factors, fractions, decimals and percentages, fraction order.I really liked the fast factors because it was kinda easy and it was all times tables and i was really good at it. There was also another one called fraction order which you have to put the fractions in place from highest to lowest. I really enjoyed the maths for this week.

Letter to kate

Thursday 12 may 2022

Letter to kate I miss you so much I wish I was with you. Cold days and nights. Just chillin ‘in my trench. Waiting for my next victim to show their nut (head). Tonight i’m going with a mate and spreading out barbed wires and wish me luck. Locking in place, camping in my rabbit hole.

My school’s value superhero is Mr N. Their superpower is integrity. Integrity is being honest and having a strong sense of what is right and wrong. Integrity is important because people need to know you can be trusted. If they do, they will support you when you’re feeling down. I remember when my hero , Mr N, showed the class that he could do sports by playing Ki-o-rahi with us.
